Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

HaShavuah - Nevonim

Shalom Families,

It was so exciting to reunite after the long winter break!

This week we had some fun sensory activities, like making new, minty-green playdough, q-tip painting, drawing with white oil pastels on big crinkly paper, face and body painting, and playing outside in the rain with wet sand and fallen leaves .

We read "The happy book", about a girl from Ghana, and talked about what makes us happy.

We shared our adventures from the winter break

We read the book "how full is your bucket" and talked about our own personal buckets and how we can help keep ours and our friends' buckets full. We also did a little exercise, in which each child chose a friend in the circle to say something nice about.

The children enjoy singing the Bracha (blessing) before lunch and snack all by themselves

We celebrated Teo's birthday, and the kids enjoyed telling him what they liked about him

We built a "tent" under the deck outside, with a big piece of tarp, and the children "went camping"

We welcomed a new substitute teacher, Maya- she was wonderful with the kids and we like her plenty!

It has been a wonderful first week! See you all on Monday
