Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

HaShavuah - Nachshonim

12th of Sh'vat, 5778
Shavua Tov Nachshonim Families,

We started the week off by joining the Nevonim Kitah for Havdalah to welcome in our new week.  We plan to start doing Havdalah in our own Kitah next week when Eitan returns from Israel and bring us our own Havdalah set.  The yeladim have been enjoying the experience of cutting with scissors out on the table, using their scissors to cut different animals and images from nature magazines.  Speaking of Nature the yeladim planted yellow bell pepper seeds. We can't wait to see them grow!  Along with planting, we have been exploring other things that come from nature such as pine cones, acorns, and leaves as we continue talking about Tu B Sh'vat.  The yeladim are enjoying the exploration of Tu B'Shevat with nature hazara.

Menachem visited and sang songs with us and received many hugs after telling the story, the parting of the sea.

After talking with the yeladim we realized that construction and the time difference between here and Israel are topics of conversation.  We heard questions like "what time is it for Eitan?"  "How do you build a house?"  We brought in cardboard boxes some construction tools and watch the yeladim explore and use their imaginations.

Shalom,
Jennaba and Miri
