Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

HaShavuah - Nachshonim

Shalom Nachshonim families,

This week we celebrated Matan's birthday in the kitah. Mazal Tov Matan! We also want to say Mazal Tov to Noah who also had a birthday last week! Here are the highlights of our week.

-The children help make a documentation board about activities with friends at school. The photos are posted in the hallway, have a look!

- We have color paddles in our science area. They are primary colors that can get stacked to make secondary colors.
- Judah and Emah Liora have brought a prism to share with us at school. When we hang it in the sunlight, we have rainbows all over the room!

Chayot/Animals ... continued
-We pulled out our farm animals in barn toys.
- We are still enjoying so many books about animals.
-We have been acting out a song called "2 Little Kitty Cats". We are practicing taking turns being the kittens in the song.

-Playing with her toy school buses.
- The children played with giant cardboard boxes. With a box cutter, we made a door and some windows. It looked a lot like a school bus.
- We read Maisy drives the bus in Hebrew and English. We also read " What Wheels Do All Day" this week.
-After lunch, we often go running in the courtyard for about 15 minutes. We like to watch the trucks and buses pass by on University Ave.
-We brought in a piece of a rain gutter that we use as a ramp for the toy cars.

We will see you tomorrow.
Ofra and Jennaba
