Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

HaShavuah - Nachshonim

Shalom Kulam,

We had a very busy and exciting week. We continued our explorations of animals. Here are the highlights of our week.

- The children made animal footprint art, made with toy animals and tempera paint.
- We selected some farm animal posters to hang on the wall. We are now in the company of horses, dogs, ducklings, and an alpaca.
- We are enjoying singing "5 Green and Speckled Frogs". We are now using our frog felt pieces on the felt board as we sing
-We acted out "5 Green and Speckled Frogs" a few times this week. We use the large piece of blue felt as our “ pool“ and we take turns being the frogs that jump in.
-Animal capes and costumes in the dress up corner
-Lots of scientific books about animals and story books with animals.
-Dancing and singing to "Animal Actions".

- some of the avocados on the tree outside are dropping before they fully fully developed. We cut open a tiny avocado and comparing it to Ofra‘s full-sized avocado at lunch

- we used an apple peeler and core remover to prepare apples for apple sauce. We cooked it in a pot and ate it the applesauce the following day at snack.

- we have four toy schoolbuses on the shelf that have been very popular

-We have been enjoying the company of our Nevonim friends at lunch. We often have room at the table for guests join us. Bruchim HaBa'im/Welcoming guests just like Abraham and Sara.

Shavuah Tov,
Ofra and Jennaba
