Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

HaShavuah - Nevonim

Shalom families

Such a busy week!

We enjoy Havdallah together every Monday morning. This week we made name sticks to help us choose which children will help. (They love reading the names of their friends!)This week Eliana, Yossi and Ella N. helped with holding the candle, holding the kiddush cup and passing the besamim.  New children will be chosen every week.

We told the Be'Reshit story, the creation of the world, and expanded to a very interesting debate of whether God is a male or female ...

Angelina was under the weather and Anne came to sub for her. We made her a get well card, which helped for sure!

We brought out the light table and clear blocks, that prompted interesting building and color explorations.

We made some fire art with glue and orange/red tissue paper on yellow paper (you can find examples on the Kitah wall).

We also made some leaf art, gluing them on cardboard.

We got a donation of stationary, office paper and envelopes. The children made letters for each other and we even made a box for outgoing mail.

We harvested corn off the corn stalks in our yard. The end of the summer season, moving into fall. Colin brought some snow pea seeds seeds and we planted our winter crop. They are growing in small cups and will be transplanted into our garden.

We brought animal memory game and discovered matches of animals ... two by two. We also practiced a "Noah's Ark" play and preformed it for our friends and family during ma'agal Shabbat on Friday.

See you all tomorrow for another full week of fun!

Anna, Angelina and Colin
