Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

HaShavuah - Nevonim

Shalom Families,

This week we talked about Yom Kippur, especially about how to behave with friends, and about feelings.
We read the books: I Was So Mad, Susan Laughs, and When Sophie Gets Angry, Really, Really Angry
We are using our feelings flashcards (illustrated by Todd Parr)
We talked about words to say when feeling hurt.
We discussed bubble space and practiced keeping it.
We went to Strawberry Creek Park to do Tashlich. We said things we are sorry for, as we tossed leaves and twigs in the water. Rabbi Menachem came with us.
We reminded some of our friends how we clean up after snack and lunch, and practiced the washing hands song
We played one of our favorite circle time games- What's missing.
We are having a lot of fun with our working cameras, and there is some serious play going on with
cars and cardboard tubes, and also with fire engines and the fire station.
We are exploring our marble run upstairs in small groups.
As usual, we made Challah dough for Ma'agal Shabbat

To those who observe Yom Kippur, have a meaningful fast.

Anna, Angelina and Colin
