Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

HaShavua ~ Nevonim
October 9, 2015 ~ Tishrei 26, 5776

Hello, all! In this short week we marked both Simchat Torah and beginning the Torah again.
To celebrate we:
  • explored mini-Torahs and how to roll and unroll them
  • took a Torah tour of the shul. We found 4 real Torah scrolls!
  • had a Torah parade and joyfully sang "sisu v'simchu!"
  • Ohr/Choshech - light and dark: we made art with black and white mixed media--pencils, pastels, crayons, and chalk. The children cut paper into snips that were then used in collages.
We also:
  • drilled holes with hand drills in a stump of a wood from the yard
  • created ephemeral art with natural materials on felt circles, and
  • discussed safety with our bodies and our toys, remembering that saliva is for inside our mouths
Shabbat Shalom umevorach!
Judy, Ruth and Ofra
