Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

HaShavua ~ Nevonim
Cheshvan 28, 5775 ~ November 21, 2014

This week in the Nevonim Kitah
Can you believe we did yoga?
First an Aleph, then a Bet, to Tav we might even get!
Other aleph-bet fun ensued
With blocks and songs and writing too.
Marbled paper, seashell art, mermaids and fish played a part.

Do you like making things with clay, like pancakes for a rainy day?
What about real lentil stew, like Yakov gave to Esav, it's true--
Waffles were another food, we'd love some more, they turned out good!

We practiced sewing, we looked at a clock,
How does it work? Time to put away blocks?
Our friend Colin visited us, he played the mandolin, he even let us!
Rainy day fun with shaving cream, outside in a downpour, what a scream!
We walked in the neighborhood after the rain,
Looked at the shoe shop, a construction site, a barbershop sign.
We hammered to prepare planters for our yard, keeping it steady can be hard.

And now we say Shabbat Shalom, be warm and cozy in your home.

Anna, Judy, Ruth
