Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

HaShavua ~ Nevonim
Erev Yom Kippur
October 3, 2014 ~ Tishrei 9, 5775

This week in Nevonim, we:

-learned about Selicha/forgiveness and gave each other stamps to heal hurt feelings

-explored one of the old streetlights that Dan gave us since the city replaced them with energy efficient ones--thanks, Dan!

-made sock puppets and put on lots of puppet shows

-sang a song with Melita about helping each other

-made leaf art that reminded us of lips and prayer and kind words

-went went the park and did Tashlich, symbolically throwing away "bad" things we didn't want to hold onto form last year into the water of Strawberry Creek

-talked with Menachem about the Avodah  service of Yom Kippur and the Kohen Gadol's/high priest's blessing the people

-read Apple Days and made applesauce

-made new playdough! It's rose-colored.
