Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

Shalom Nachshonim Families,
We have had a very pleasant week at school. Here are the highlights we have to share with you.
-On Monday we made a brand-new batch of purple play dough.
- The children have been playing with our toy dinosaurs in the play dough.
- On Tuesday we made small paintings with paint and Q-tips.
- On Wednesday we had picture day, we went out to the play yard and took turns getting our photos taken.
- We had a new experience on Wednesday. Cheryl came to lead us in a drama class. We sang and did some gross motor activities. We also got to act out a great story book.
- The children helped Ofra make a new documentation board with our Purim pictures. We plan to hang it next week.
- We also have a new documentation board that Anna has made for us about our past explorations of wheels and transportation.
- We have been enjoying our "what's wrong" cards with silly images.
- We had a delightful visit from Nora the librarian this Thursday.
- We played in the courtyard a couple of times this week.
- On Friday we looked at some photographs that belong to Ofra with images from Israel. We have begun talking about Yom Ha'atzmaut.

Sfarim chadashim (new books!)
- We have been enjoying a new book called "Driving My Tractor" and we have been listening to the music that came with the book.
- we have been enjoying a new pirate book called "Tough Boris" about a tough pirate who has a sensitive side when his parrot passes on.
- We have also been reading a lovely book called "One Special Day" about a boy with lots of characteristics but when he meets his new baby brother for the first time he is very gentle.

Shabbat Shalom!
Ofra and Anna
