Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

Story time wonderfulness ...from Nora

A sweet story from Nora, our local librarian, after her visit with Nevonim last week ...

Hi Lauren,

Today I shared a story with the older kids called, "What Do You Want?" On the right hand side of the page is an illustration of something (it starts with a rooster), with the question "What does the (rooster) want?" When you turn the page the "answer" in on the left hand page. It's a fun book to share with kids (especially verbal kids!) because they come up with such wonderful guesses, many of which work, regardless of the "correct" answer.

When we came to the picture of the little old man, I asked, "What does the little old man want?" Without missing a beat, one of the kids said, "A grandson!" Sweet moment! The "right" answer was, "his hat," but honestly, I thought "a grandson" was a MOST excellent answer.

Loved seeing everyone today.
