Congregation Netivot Shalom Preschool seeks to create a stimulating and enriching educational environment for each and every child.
We are devoted to helping children learn socialization skills, building their self-confidence and teaching them the preliminary skills to explore and experience the world independently from their parents.
In addition, we seek to ignite a spark in each child to lay claim to her or his Jewish heritage and commit him or her to a lifetime passion for learning.

Language Development Research at Mills College

Shalom Families,

I recently received an email from some young researchers in the Language Development Laboratory at Mills College who are exploring young children and second language aquisition. As all of our children are involved in a second language school program and some of you use a second language in the home, I told  them I would share their information with all of you. There is an explanation of their research below and information is posted outside both classrooms. Please consider volunteering to bepart of the interesting work they are doing at Mills College.

The Language Development Laboratory at Mills College, Under the supervision of Dr. Priya Mariana Shimpi, is looking for infants and children from 6 months to 6 yeasrs of age to participate in new studies about the development of early communication skills. These studies take arouond 45 minutes and are designed to be fun for parents and children.

For more information or to volunteer call (510) 430-2166 or email babytalk@mills.edu.
